This is the very first entry in what I hope becomes a collection of thoughts, stories, and maybe even a few rants from behind the tattoo machine. If you’ve stumbled onto this page, first of all—thank you. Whether you’re a fellow artist, someone considering their very first tattoo, or just a curious soul who appreciates the art form, I’m glad you’re here.
I want this blog to be more than just polished updates or portfolio highlights. Think of it as a window into my world: my love for the tattoo industry, my growth as an artist, and the things I notice along the way.
Falling in Love with Tattooing
Art has always been a part of who I am. I grew up with a pencil in my hand, sketching whenever I could. But tattooing is where that passion turned into a lifelong love.
The first time I set foot in a tattoo shop, I felt it instantly. The hum of the machines, the energy of the clients, and the quiet focus of the artists all blended together into something unforgettable. In that moment, I knew tattooing was not just about creating art. It was about connection, trust, and telling a story that would last forever.
That realization lit a fire in me, and it still drives me today.
The Journey So Far
I am early in my career, and every day feels like a new chance to learn. Tattooing is a craft that humbles you quickly. There are technical lessons, like how to perfect a line or shade with more depth. There are also lessons in patience, both with myself and with the process.
I’ve learned how to help clients feel comfortable when they are nervous. I’ve learned to adapt when ideas change. And I’ve learned to celebrate the progress instead of only chasing perfection.
This journey is not easy, but it is rewarding. The growth never stops, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Why I Started This Blog
The tattoo industry feels like its own world. There are veterans who have been working for decades, apprentices just getting started, and artists like me who are finding their voice. I want to use this space to document my own path.
Sometimes I’ll write about techniques or industry insights. Other times I’ll write about personal growth or even the music, food, and conversations that keep me inspired. I want to be honest here, and I want to bring you along for the ride.
What I Love About This Industry
The tattoo community is one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever been a part of. Artists have their own unique styles, yet we all share the same love for ink and the stories it tells.
The best part of this work is the connection with people. Every tattoo session is a moment of trust. Clients come in with pieces of their story, and I get to be part of helping them carry it forward. That connection keeps me grounded and reminds me why I chose this path.
Tattooing has given me belonging and purpose. It challenges me and inspires me in equal measure. I know there will be difficult days, but I also know I am exactly where I should be.
Looking Ahead
My focus right now is growth. I want to keep learning, refining my style, and giving each client the best experience I can. I also want to use this blog to share what I am learning, to give a real look into the process, and to connect with others who feel the same way about tattooing.
This is the start of something. I do not know exactly where it will lead, but I am excited to find out.
